Initially training as a Steiner School Teacher before starting her own family, Karin then moved to Gloucestershire in 1985 to enable her to train as an art therapist. She qualified in 1988 and joined the the therapeutic team at St. Luke’s Medical Practice in 1990.
Karin finds that a lot of her inspiration comes to her during long distance walking, believing it to be a spiritual practice and a source of renewal and communication with the non-human world. In 2001 Karin went on a pilgrimage, traveling on foot from Stroud to the Czech Republic in the space of half a year.
“This was for me a life changing event and became the inspiration behind starting an Oasis Group upon my return, together with a colleague Pauline Marksteiner”
Karin is very committed to working with and relating the inner journey to the outer one. She feels passionate about helping people discover their creative potential and using it as a valuable tool for finding health and wholeness out of their own inner resources.
